Naughty Dog’s new project following Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is claimed to be a new Uncharted game. According to a report relayed by MP1st, the project is being directed by Shaun Escayg, director of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
Nathan Drake is reportedly set to appear in the game, but he will not be the main protagonist. The project is said not to be a remake and to be developed after Intergalactic, but the information has not yet been officially confirmed.
Why it matters
The claim raises the possibility that Naughty Dog may not view the Uncharted series as a completed chapter; however, it does not provide a definitive picture of the studio’s plans. Nathan Drake’s presence without him being the main protagonist could be interpreted as a sign that the series may retain its familiar characters while shifting the narrative’s focus, though how this would affect the story and gameplay remains unclear. The claim that the project is not a remake suggests that a different kind of work is being discussed, rather than a renewal of an existing game. Nevertheless, because the report is based on claims whose source has not been identified and Naughty Dog has not provided confirmation, the news should at this stage be regarded as speculation rather than a finalized plan.
